ali66 Posted October 1, 2017 Report Posted October 1, 2017 Evening Purchased a 2002 Galaxy MKII 1.9 TDI Zetec last year - it came with old receipts for work carried out - the cambelt had been changed together with the water pump and alternator belt at 92299 in May 2014 - mileage is currently 130000 - when does the cambelt need changing again? There seems to be conflicting figures between 40k and 60k - any help appreciated Quote
sparky Paul Posted October 2, 2017 Report Posted October 2, 2017 You can look up a full maintenance schedule for your car here http://www.etis.ford.com/home.do As far as I know, and I'm no expert on the diesels, original fitted belt kits on early cars were only good for 40,000 miles. Later cars, and the new belt/idler kits retro-fitted are good for 60,000 miles. Quote
