Bonnet Open Switch

Always good getting a new (to me) car. This MKIII is now telling me on and off that the bonnet is open (its not). Having a look under the bonnet I cant see any normal type switches for this function, am I right in thinking it's part of the bonnet lock (it looks like it has some wiring going to it).

I'll bump this, as ive got the same problem with the added bonus of the alarm going off now and again.

I had the same issue.  I just put a permanent link across the switch - job done!
