Galaxy 2.3L 2003 Front Windows And Mirrors Won't Operate From Ins

I have a 2003 Galaxy MPV   when I bought in September the mirrors did not work from inside  but windows were ok  then a friend was a little over enthusiastic and pulled of the inner door pull  so we had to remove the door card to do this but found that the mirror plug was just hanging down so reattached it and now all worked BUT about two weeks ago I opened the window and it refused to go up Checked the fuses and all appear intact and good BUT neither the windows or Mirrors will now work 

 

Then the strange discovery is that if I lock the car twice quickly the windows go up and same come down when door lock opened but still not on inside

 

Is there anyone with help where to start and is there a suitable wiring diagram for these two items  THanks in advance

Pull the boot off the wiring that runs through the door post (where the hinges are) so you can see the wires. You will probabbly find at least 1 broken wire there, repair broken wire outside the hinge area as far as possible if you want a longer term fix (splice in a new piece of wire, keep soldered joints as short as possible to avoid stressing the wire).

dont repair it with a straight piece of wire....make it into a loop about the size of a 2 pence piece or so, it will allow wire to move inside the gaiter and not break again.
