leeboy Posted February 6, 2017 Author Report Posted February 6, 2017 yes my brake lights are fine. Would this effect the cruise control Quote
gregers Posted February 7, 2017 Report Posted February 7, 2017 thought it might be the brake switch. Quote
tezerez Posted February 7, 2017 Report Posted February 7, 2017 I once had the brake lights working after having a new switch fitted, but got the flashing glow plug sign about 2 weeks later which showed as brake switch fault on simple vag-com test. Switch needed about 1/ 64th of a turn to properly align. Did anyone fit a new switch lately? Quote

Did anyone fit a new switch lately? It might be worth a scan anyway - the OP won't get the glowplug light as its a 2.3 petrol, but fault code may still be logged. Would think worth scanning with an obd reader and VCDS and see if anything comes up on either in the way of faults. Quote
