derekod Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 Can someone here on the forum recommend an inner tie rod removal tool that works on the MKII Galaxy.I had borrowed one for my previous Galaxy which makes the job a lot easier.I also want to know if someone can recommend a conditioner for the steering system that would be compatible, just noticed one of the boots split yesterday with a little oil on the bottom control arm.I have not noticed the oil dropping in the reservoir so hopefully the rack is still good although there are 160K miles on her at this time. daddyfixit Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 mk2 seems to pop the rack seal on nearside....inflates boot and splits it.....mine lasted 170k if you are doing a rack-end, turn steering on a full lock to extend the rack out-----can sometimes loosen with curved visegrips or small stillsons the rack-end tools I have used are made by laser Quote
