I used to post on here but as my cars been trouble free for the last two years either I forgot my login details or the forums changed? Anyway I've re-registered to ask for some help!

I've had my 2004 PD130 Alhambra for over 2 years, the clutch has always felt very heavy but it's never got noticeably worse. The clutch bites fairly low, not at the floor but a couple of cm up, I guess this is normal.

Recently I've felt like I have to ensure the clutch pedal hits the stop of the floor before changing gear gently. As if the clutch isn't lifting enough, when its cold I have to be feel it into 2nd gear. It's almost like I require a little extra movement to fully disengage the clutch. Theres a little free play when I press on the pedal, but again I presume that's normal.

Every now and again it feels like the clutch pedal hasn't come up quick enough either, I've felt it tap my foot on the return up. Not often just once or twice.

I've just thought maybe I should  see if theres any air in the clutch line, so I've just tried to bleed it. No air came out but I only did 2 depressions of the pedal as my other half said the clutch stayed at the floor and she had to pull it back up by hand. I thought somethings wrong so I didn't bother continuing.

What's everyone's thoughts on this? I always thought it must be the slave cylinder but just trying to bleed it now, I'm suspecting a dodgy master cylinder in order for it to not return up during bleeding?

With weird clutch faults on the 03-06, your box may have the large black cover on the end the box diameter of a mug, try fitting a shim mod, cured my box of a clearance issue!!

Video on YouTube explains it
