Electronic Dash Info Display Not Working

The dash info display on my 59 plate Galaxy is playing up, working intermittently and not always displaying all the info i.e. mileage, temp, radio, station, fuel left etc. The pixels flicker across the screen or sometimes don't appear at all. I have been quoted 'between hundred and fifty to two hundred and fifty' to diagnose and repair by a company in Greenwich who want me to send the unit to them and they will repair. Not great reviews of them tbh and I imagine I will be charged two hundred and fifty exactly.....

 

Can anyone recommend a repairer so I have some degree of trust of who I'm using.

Personally I'd pull the display out and check they are really plugged in fully before doing anything (or reseat the connectors just to be sure).

 

I don't know if they are coded to the vehicle (some VW ones are, and will knock out the immobiliser until recoded to the car if you swap them about).

 

Either way a 59 plate will be a MK3, so you might get better luck in that section, hopefully a mod can move it for you.
