Central Locking 2008 Galaxy. Rear Ns Door Not Locking/unlocking

Rear NS door not locking/unlocking.  If I keep my hand on the door lock inside handle when I press the key fob to lock/unlock, the door lock handle twitches but doesn't lock or unlock.  Therefore there's definitely power getting to the lock but it's just lost its oomph.  What next, is it straight to stripping the mechanism out of the door and servicing/replacing.  Thoughts?  Slightly dreading getting the door apart.

You won't know until you take the door card off. It might just be the cable has fallen off.... (hopefully)

Sounds like a dead lock motor, though could be a bad connection (connected, but corroded or barely connected).

 

Its a mk3 you'd have being a 2008 vehicle though. MK1/2's usually suffer from wiring issues, don't know about the mk3.
