Alhambra Mk2 Rear Light

Hi,

 

I thought I would replace the cracked tail light on my Mk2 Alhambra today assuming it would be a simple job. I was surprised to find the rear bumper bracket in the way. Does anyone know if the bumper has to be removed or is there another way to do it?

After having a look around it seems to fit exactly the same way as a Mk2 Galaxy.

 

After removing the three bolts behind the cluster and the bumber bracket bolt below the trim panel, the bumper bracket is still in the way. I'm worried about breaking the bracket and ending up with a saggy bumper, especially in this cold weather.

 

Has anyone done this on a Galaxy who could offer advice?
