My indicators and Hazards don't work I've changed the fuse and the bulbs are fine which points to the relay I purchased a flasher relay removed everything and found the relays but don't know which one it is. Does anyone know which of the many relays is the flasher (indicator/Hazard) relay They all have numbers on them but unfortunately the new one doesn't and I'm unable to work out which one it is

Thank you in advanced

Sharron

Have a look though this

It would help if you give the model you've got (Model/year and engine type should be enough).

If its really a mk1/2 (pre 2006 if its a Galaxy rather than Sharan or Alhambra) then broken wires in the door gaiters are the cause of a lot of electrical issues.

Thank you Brian it's a 02 Ford Galaxy 1.9 diesel I've checked the article but the part I have doesn't need soldering it has prongs that plug in I'll get my brother to check the wiring as have had problems there before which caused an issue with the electric window's

Brian is correct I'm afraid, your 02 Galaxy doesn't have a plug in relay for the indicators.

Wiring problems are the most common problem here. However, if it does turn out to be the relay, the only answer is to replace the complete MFU, take it apart and solder in a new relay, or do the mod shown in the other thread.

Its possible you've been sold the wrong part I'd suspect then - Its not unusual to see parts particually if they are on eBay listed as fitting the Galaxy when they don't but do fit other fords.

Have a look inside the boot gaiter - it would be surprising if there isn't at least 1 broken wire there if you haven't looked at it recently.
