avanbueren Posted July 24, 2016 Report Posted July 24, 2016 Have ford galaxy 1.9TDI 2012 registration and had engine malfunction light on with error code P244C -exhaust temperature too low for particulate filter regeneration bank 1. This is code I got when plugged in diagnostics. Have had a deep cleanse of DPF where halfords inject foam into DPF itself and heat this up to burn off any deposits but this has not worked. Could it therefore be sensors and how does one check what problems are as car behaves fine when running with no loss of power Quote
daddyfixit Posted July 24, 2016 Report Posted July 24, 2016 suggest taking it for a motorway drive; exhaust will heat up to higher temperature---and cruising at sustained speed ecu should kick in the regen process ? I assume its not carrying out regen because the car isn't getting hot enough (sort, local runs low speeds ) ??? Quote
BrianH Posted July 24, 2016 Report Posted July 24, 2016 Keeping it in a lower gear than normal should raise the exhaust temp IE keep the revs high for a bit. You have a MK 3 though you might find an answer in that bit of the forum rather than mk1/mk2. Quote
