Will Sharan Mk 1 Towbar Fit Galaxy Mk 1?

I'm wondering (before I begin) if a towbar off a mk 1 (1997) Sharan will fit the facelifted (2003) mk 1 Galaxy?

 

Is there a way of finding out definitely before I start removing it?

I believe the galaxy sharan and alhambra are all the same car. so it should do.

 

if you know the model/part number. stick it in Google and double check.

The facelifted one would be a MK II not a MK I.

I don't know though I'm sure i've seen differences in the designs between the mk1 and mk2 ones on ebay
