xrissane Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) Hi all folks We`ve got the 2009 2,2 Tdci Galaxy more than three years now. We are going to renew the car in next summer, weather staying with diesel or not that`s The Question... :5:Perhaps the most significant things to me is the torque and of course the acceleration rates :34: hmmmm. Now have been going up and down when trying to make my mind between those two Galaxies, the latest 2,2 tdci with 200 hp (considerable more than ours now, ie 175 hp and some 400 Nm) and the 2,0 ecoboost with about the same horsepowers. Unfortunately "we no can do" with the latest versions, too expensive still... Help me please - any knowledge of the real feel of differences between those two cars in every day life, anyone???Jussi Edited April 3, 2016 by xrissane Quote
davetech Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 Have you considered a re-map of your 2.2 (for economy of course). From 175 to 210 BHP and better economy :-) Quote
xrissane Posted April 9, 2016 Author Report Posted April 9, 2016 Hi davetech Haven`t done that yet - if no-one wants to buy our car, http://www.nettiauto.com/ford/galaxy/7872636, maybe it will be the time to do that... Could you tell me more about that conversion??? Jussi Quote
davetech Posted April 10, 2016 Report Posted April 10, 2016 You take it for an ECU re-map (there are now many places that do this). They read the map from the car, modify it, then write the modified code back to the car.It made a considerable difference on mine. Quote
