first things first hello,

i am wondering if anyone knows or has come across this fault before,

engine starts idles for a few secs then stalls then it needs a bump start to go and then works fine till the next day, this has been going on for a while and put it down to glow plugs until i got around to doing it, last night it did the same so bumped it and it got going then after a short journey around 10 miles parked up and within a few hours had to pop out and stated it a few secs of idling it cut out and now that's it turns over wont start!

so far on the diagnostics side of things,

no fault codes ever ( i even plugged in a obd to see if it had and inactive codes but there's nothing showing at all )

checked fuel 3/4 full,

heater plug lights goes on for a few secs then off as it should,

checked fuse on fuel pump ( under glove box one )

cracked a pipe off going from rail to inj there's flow on cranking,

looking around vehicle as the battery is charging again!

nothing obvious, but before taking the battery off i noticed R2 clicking every now and then and also a high pitched squeel from behind the engine some where,

now with out being able to test fuel pressure today is there any known faults ?

ive read about relays and LP pumps which i take is in the tank on this model??  where is the relay for the pumps? am i missing any other fuse box locations one in boot one underneath glove box and one in the engine bay?

filters were changed 2 years ago and due to very low mileage in that time haven't done them but i am going to to cross off blocked filters.

tomorrow im grabbing a AVO to test voltages and resistances

thank you for any help with this matter
