I have a 2008 Galaxy 2.0 TDci 140bhp.

For almost a year now it has been giving me the same issue, usually in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear.

When accelerating the car jumps and stutters, almost like its a fuel problem, and can sometimes enter limp mode.

Switching the car off and on again usually resolves this.

It could happen every time the car is driven, or it might not happen for a number of weeks then start again.

When the issue happens it usually throws an engine malfunction warning and when I read the code I generally get "Lost communication" errors with BCM/PCM/ABS with codes like U0140.

Its such a random intermittent issue with no difinitive set of fault codes.

I've done some googling and found nothing which matches exactly my issue but some comments around faulty crank shaft sensors or cam shaft sensors.

Has anyone experienced anything similar to this or can anyone give me any advice on what I can try to do to resolve this without spending a fortune?
