Icedefender Posted February 13, 2016 Report Posted February 13, 2016 I replaced my head unit recently with a Sony DAB radio, bluetooth etc, the sound quality was amazing. Inspired by this I decided to upgrade the speakers as well. After much searching and consideration I bought some Vibe slick s6 v5 speakers, rated at 80w rms. The head unit pumps out 55w RMS so I thought that would be fine.Having replaced one speaker so far I can say that fading from the new speaker to the original in the other door there is a noticeable difference. The oringinal speakers in a 2004 ghia are far superior to the aftermarket ones. Now I know I didn't buy top quality speakers but I'm just letting people know that unless you do, then save your money, the factory fitted speakers are much better than cheap (better rated) alternatives. carbolts Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 I would have thought the stock speakers would be well worth replacing. Im thinking about changing my 2008 galaxy speakers. Can anyone recommend some? Also can anyone tell me what are the sizes of all the speakers in a 2008 galaxy? Thanks Quote
