chromedome Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 Just had my Galaxy serviced by main dealer, idiot I know, and they say I need to have a four wheel alignment done. Does the Mk3 Galaxy have the facility to do a four wheel alignment or is the dealer trying to recover the costs of their new machine? Thanks. PS. All four tyres appear to be wearing evenly. Quote
gregers Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 take it to a fast fit place and see if they say you need 1 done. Quote
andycorb Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 If you don't have a Fast-Fit near you (they are not Nationwide) then the larger Kwik-Fit garages also do 4 wheel alignment. I am not a massive fan of Kwik-Fit as they can be more pricey, but on my previous MPV (Hyundai Trajet) they were the only place that could ever align the wheels correctly. If they find there is no alignment needed they won't charge you as I found out recently. Quote
drjotty Posted February 29, 2016 Report Posted February 29, 2016 if tyres are okay then why does it need alignment.a fast fit place will not do a good job as they only align the front. i know i have been through them and it drove worse after pullling to the side, took it bak in and they said tracking was fine. took it home used string and bricks to have straight line from back wheels to front. back were parralel as were front but not with each other.there is adjustment on back wish bones concentric nut bolts. used track ace lazer tracking tool and string and now all is straight an good. do not trust fast fit places.
