jkspoff Posted July 24, 2004 Report Posted July 24, 2004 I have a 2001 model Galaxy Ghia, does anyone, or has anyone installed a Sat Nav option. If so, was it in the radio space or was it an after market option. I believe there is a Sat Nav unit that fits into the Galaxy radio hole, is this just a matter of pulling radio out and putting Sat Nav system in ???? If you have the Sat Nav system installed is it any good, and does it talk you through the journey. Thanks. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 Welcome to the forum. Try a search on this topic - it can be done but not so easy. You need a new front panel for the centre console plus the satnav unit, GPS receiver and a few wiring intricacies. May be better to go for one of the Garmin/Tom-Tom after-market units that sit on the dashboard. Quote
Guest michaelc Posted July 31, 2004 Report Posted July 31, 2004 You want the easy and most cost effective option buddy, then buy the following; 1 X HP Ipaq 2210 Hand Held PC (inc GPS jacket) 1 X Tom Tom 2 or 3 PC Software And Your Off. A decent Sat Nav systems should cost no more than Quote
