Accident Engine Stop Under Passengers Seat

after my starting problems with a mk 1 galaxy sorted with help from this site I had a look under the passengers seat and there was the red stop button with 4 wires to it I assume one was live through it to the stop on the pump perhaps im wrong but what do the other two wires do any ideas please

its possible that the switch isolates both poles not just one (IE 12v feed and ground as such). Don't know for sure though
