galaxyturbo Posted July 30, 2015 Report Posted July 30, 2015 Hi, my fan at level 1-2 doesnt work, it works fine on level 3-4. which is really annoying on a hot day when u need your ac working, and it doens work at lvl 3-4any suggetions, i have checked every fuse there is btwThanks Quote
BrianH Posted July 30, 2015 Report Posted July 30, 2015 Resistor pack or "hedgehog" is the likely source of the problem. Might be resolved by removing and cleaning contacts, more likely its failed and needs replacing. Theres info here about getting to it, i think you remove the glovebox but the search should tell you. galaxyturbo Posted July 31, 2015 Author Report Posted July 31, 2015 wrote wrong at the end, fan just works on 3-4 and thats it, i dont why i "cocked" up my writing so badlyill look into it Quote
BrianH Posted July 31, 2015 Report Posted July 31, 2015 I thought that was what you were getting at, the above reply is still valid that being the case though, start looking at the resistor pack. Quote
chromedome Posted July 31, 2015 Report Posted July 31, 2015 I agree with BrianH it's a common fault. Remove glove box and you should see it attached to the side of the heater matrix. Normally red or green in colour and only one screw which is amazing for a Galaxy!!! Do a search for repairing it. Some members have managed to replace the fuses/resistors. Quote
galaxyturbo Posted August 3, 2015 Author Report Posted August 3, 2015 okay, i just got into looking on, had a buisy couple of days, i think i can see it through a glims in the glovebox, but i have no idea on how to open it, just feels like im destroying something in there constantly when im trying to move somethingany video or picture on how to remove it? chromedome Posted August 3, 2015 Report Posted August 3, 2015 From memory there is a piece of dashboard trim to the left of the glove box. This is where the retaining catch is located. Remove the piece of trim and you should then be able to let the glove box drop down. Once you have done that you should be able to remove it. Just hope my memory is still ok. B) Quote
Russats Posted August 3, 2015 Report Posted August 3, 2015 I remember removing mine not so long ago. I'm sure with it open you pull it at the bottom. It was a nightmare to get back on as well. Quote
