Russats Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 Would plugging in my Galaxy find all the issues or not? Last year I had it pressure tested and regassed however to no avail. There was no cool air. Wondering if I should attempt repair my self or get an expert onto it Quote
daddyfixit Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 specialist; they will gas/leak test before filling fully-----------after adding uv dye they will leave it running to see where the dye is leaking from using special glasses, after that if its not leaking, it gets vac tested before final fill. Russats Posted July 1, 2015 Author Report Posted July 1, 2015 Thanks for that. I took it to a place who are part of kwikfit. They told me that there were no leaks and no gas present. I'll have to find a specialist. Thanks for the advise Quote
Russats Posted July 7, 2015 Author Report Posted July 7, 2015 Had it regassed today by an expert mobile guy, it worked the whole time he was there. Once I set off for school run it started to work then fizzled out. Called the guy up he said turn the engine off for about 30 seconds then start up again and it began working again. He's saying try this for a week or so before considering the compressor might be faulty. Anyone heard of these symptoms or diagnosis? Quote
BrianH Posted July 7, 2015 Report Posted July 7, 2015 If its been broken a while its possible it will stick somewhat, though not a good sign its doing so. There is oil put in on a regas (or should be) so it might sort itself out if your lucky. Think you will have to give it a try to tell for sure. Quote
Russats Posted July 10, 2015 Author Report Posted July 10, 2015 No luck so far. It still blowing cold for a few seconds then fizzles off quickly. Anyone got a guide to changing the compressor, u assume all the gas will have to be removed first? Quote
