mrben Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 Hello all. How do I find what code engine my galaxy is? Its a mk1 v-reg. I have a ticking injector and would like to try to source another injector, but I imagine the different engine codes have different injectors?....many thanks. Quote
SilverBeast Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 It should be on a paper label on the timing belt cover if it's a MKII. Do you know what power output it is? Quote
BrianH Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 If you don't know the power output then the etis site should tell you http://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do Quote
mrben Posted June 4, 2015 Author Report Posted June 4, 2015 Hi chaps, thanks for response. Its a mk1 (1999). Yes looked at that website, but doesn't tell me the power output. I think i read somewhere once upon a time that its a 115bhp, does that sound right? Thanks. Quote
BrianH Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 (edited) It might be right, good way of starting would be to say what engine it actually is though? (diesel or petrol and size?) Sure it isn't here? https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=3e009701ec3e0d28!17031&authkey=!AP4OVk6oGt28hg0&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg Edited June 4, 2015 by BrianH Quote
SilverBeast Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 It says 1.9TDI Zetec on his profile. Quote
mrben Posted June 4, 2015 Author Report Posted June 4, 2015 Ok thanks chaps. Il give ford a quick ring, they should be able to say. Quote
SilverBeast Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 MKI TDI's were either 90 BHP (67kW) or 110 BHP (82kW). If you put your VIN number into the etis site linked in post 3 doesn't it give the power under engine? It does for mine. The engine code is also listed under Variant on my UK Registration certificate (ASZ1 in my case) Quote
mrben Posted June 5, 2015 Author Report Posted June 5, 2015 Hello. I put the reg no in and it gave me the correct details including chassis number, didnt see power though, anyhow, Im pretty sure mine is the 110bhp. Do you know the code for that engine? I believe there is 3 different ones, AHU, I think, and 2 others....thanks. Quote
BrianH Posted June 5, 2015 Report Posted June 5, 2015 According to the haynes mk1 manual you have the following Diesels66kW to 09.96 > 1Z66kW of 09.96 > AHU66kW from 09.99 > AVG81 kW > AFN Petrol (included incase anyone needs them in the future)1998cc, DOHC 8v > NSE2295cc, DOHC 16v > Y5B it also points towards the sticker on the timing belt cover in the vehicle identification section, doesn't appear its anywhere else as far as i can tell. Does that help at all? Quote
mrben Posted June 5, 2015 Author Report Posted June 5, 2015 Hello, yes that does help. That means its an afn engine. Many thanks. Quote
