niall1001 Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Can any1 tell me if there is an independent fuse to supply the changer that sits in the cubby at the back of the mk2, i have a standard 6000 cassette unit fitted in the dash and I've bought a changer as all the leads were there but must have been taken out by a previous owner, however there doesn't seem any power to it and I've spoken to the seller who assures me it was tested before selling. Unless it's a faulty unit I'm at a loss, any ideas guys?? Quote
chromedome Posted May 10, 2015 Report Posted May 10, 2015 I can't remember, does the 6000 unit support a multi changer? Quote
BrianH Posted May 10, 2015 Report Posted May 10, 2015 If i remember correctly from mine the 6000 has a cd button at the top somewhere. only other things i can recall is theres a couple of plugs behind the unit (one directly in the unit and another on a short lead at the end of it). AFAIK the head unit feeds power to the cd changer i don't believe any other power is supplied to it. If i get chance will pull the 6000 i've got out and have a look at it. Might help to post some photos of the connections on the changer itself Quote
niall1001 Posted May 15, 2015 Author Report Posted May 15, 2015 Yah 6000 supports changer, have worked out must be changer that's knackered, have tried 2 units on it with no joy, seller gave me a refund anyway so not out of pocket Quote
