Guest sim1971 Posted July 16, 2004 Report Posted July 16, 2004 I am in the process of ordering a Galaxy and I am thinking of chosing Platinum as the colour - looks a good colour on the tester in the show room. I have subsequently seen Galaxy's on the 04 plate in what I think is this colour, and platinum looks more like an oyster than a grey. Is that the case or am I looking at a different colour, does anyone out there own a Galaxy in Platinum?? Many thanks Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted July 16, 2004 Report Posted July 16, 2004 Is it the same colour, just under a new name? There are a few other colours that have at least 2 names, satin silver being one of them. Does anyone have the definitive answer? Personally I like the "bronze" tinted colour, whatever it may be called! Quote
Guest sim1971 Posted July 16, 2004 Report Posted July 16, 2004 The tester in the show room looked darker than the grey??? Quote
Guest Nik Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 Platinum is more like "light gold". I prefer it above all silvers (machine silver, reflex silver, satin silver, ...) It's nice, I hesitade taking one, but preferred honour green. I like dark cars. See following pic for platinum:http://www.carzone.ie/usedcars/images/lillisodonnell842.jpg Quote
Tigger Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 Is this taking the Onyx Silver that is a bronze or gold tint? Quote
Guest Nik Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 Is this taking the Onyx Silver that is a bronze or gold tint? You mean oyster silver, I suppose. No, that oyster silver has some more "yellow" in it and isn't available anymore.Platinum has much more style. Quote
Guest sim1971 Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 Nik Many thanks for the update and pic Quote
iainkirk Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 I prefer Machine Silver (but then I've got one!). The new blue is good though... Quote
