sparky Paul Posted August 23, 2014 Report Posted August 23, 2014 Sounds like a loss of servo assistance, probably a vacuum pipe leak. Not sure exactly how the diesel vac pipes are arranged, but there are certainly known weak points - have a search of the forum. Otherwise, check the vacuum pipework back from the brake servo. Quote
seatkid Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 As sparky says, the stiff plastic vacuum pipe that runs from the brake servo is prone to split lengthways at both ends causing a leak and weak or no assistance, particularly at low revs. Also check the similar diameter pipe that runs from the mechanical vacuum pump - dont know where this located on your engine I'm afraid.
