rogerdowning Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 A few weeks ago the vent selector dial stopped working. I've found a replacement AC control unit on ebay for 100 quid, but before I fork out I thought I'd see if it could be repaired because it just felt as if something had become disengaged. After removing seemingly half the dashboard and the radio, I have discovered that there is a cable which is rotated by the dial that disappears further behind the dash, presumably into some selection mechanism. This cable however has snapped at a piece of yellow plastic and just after it goes behind the radio. Could someone explain where it is routed and what my chances are of getting it out to replace it? This is all on a 2007 Mk3 ford galaxy TDCi with LX trim level. Thanks very much in advance, Roger Quote

rogerdowning Posted June 7, 2014 Author Report Posted June 7, 2014 Aha useful website! I managed to get the broken part out, and found the part here:http://eucatparts.com/?action=cat_ford_part&s_id_part=1232892&s_id_model=118 It's part no. 19236 with code 1476852. When I click to show price, it sends me to a page in German which says they have no online price for it :-\ Is that 7 digit number one I can quote to my local Ford dealership? Cheers for your help!
