Electric Window Woes

Hi all I have a 1998 2.3 ghia x and have electric window issues. When I got it the drivers window did not work but the switch was knackered. I changed the switch and that didn't cure it. In the time I was sourcing a replacement switch the passenger and then the rear windows packed up. I have read up on here about the wires near the pillar and I have even replaced the entire loom in the drivers door and still nothing. I have had the loom out of the rear door and soldered the damage in the rear still nothing. I tried the loom on the passenger door and that does not work either. In all I have checked/changed the fuses the loom and the switch but still nothing, I can't help thinking I am missing something as the windows all stopped at the same time and the usual fixes have not effect. I don't know if I should change the regulator and motor as all the windows stopped working at the some time and that would mean that they all have failed? I have even tried swaring and stamping my d=feet but that hasn't worked so I think there must be something missing? thanks in advance gareth

Hi, have you checked under front passenger seat, the control box, I had a small flood in mine due to drains blocked from sunroof, filled compartment under seat shorted out electrics and all windows opened at once in heavy rain! Took box apart and dried out, refitted all well, drains sorted and just in case box now stands on stilts!
