Galaxy 02 Rear Door Locked Shut Help

i have a 02 plate ford galaxy with remote central locking......

the rear passenger door has locked in the shut position after investigating we have found that the electrics are all working including remote locking. it is the actual lock that is broken, the problem now is we can not open the door to get to it to repair or replace the actual lock even with the door card off!!

Any suggestions and help gratefully received as MOT due soon and have been told it will fail if cannot get the door open .

i dont think it listed in our faqs,so it may go back a few years?
