musso2010 Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 I have a mk2 Galaxy, 2.5 V6 205bhp. Its been intermittently not starting lately so today I decided to check it out. Hooked up a diagnostic reader and got the following codes, P0261, P0273, P0267, P1425, P1435, P1421, P0270, P0264. Now most of these relate to the injectors circuit being low. Could this be the cause of my non start? Car cranks fine, sometimes catches and runs. Other times not. However I noticed today that I cannot hear the fuel pump prime and also the led in the door flashes wildly regardless of weather it is running or not. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance :) Quote
insanitybeard Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 I can't tell you what the codes mean but if the led is flashing in the door it sounds like it could be an immobiliser issue, if the immobiliser works by disabling the fuel pump this may give you fuel system fault codes. Quote
musso2010 Posted March 19, 2014 Author Report Posted March 19, 2014 Well from what I have read the 2.8 engine immobiliser works by cutting power to the starter. Can anyone confirm that? Quote
chromedome Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 Usual question. Have you changed the battery in your key fob and lost the PATS chip? Quote
musso2010 Posted March 19, 2014 Author Report Posted March 19, 2014 Usual question. Have you changed the battery in your key fob and lost the PATS chip? I wish I had but no. It started great. Went to the shop. And wouldn't start 15 mins later. Quote
BrianH Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 Sounds like the relay 30 issue if its intermittent. and that does cause different behavior of the led on the door. For the cost of it (or effort with a soldering iron) its worth ruling it out. Plenty of info on here regards relay 30 as well. Quote
