Hi all, first post on this forum, just after a bit of advice really. My vehicle is a 2000 Sharan fitted with the AUY 115bhp PD engine. The car started  lurching and missing at low speed and after reading up a bit thought it could be EGR related so as a temporary measure I pulled off the vacuum pipe and plugged it to disable the EGR valve. It has ran fine and not missed a beat since but my MPG have fell from 55 down to just below 40 so think it's got to go! After looking at the valve and also speaking to Allard I believe mine has the 57mm clip on style EGR valve. Have been told that the clip on style pipes can be unreliable so my question is do i....

A. Buy the correct replacement EGR delete pipe with clip on connection on one end (bit more expensive)

B. Buy the Cheaper 57mm EGR delete without the clip on connection and buy a new 90 degree silicon hose to replace the original?

Another option is the darkside developments 57mm kit but don't think they do the clip on option. Any input greatly received. By the the way, great forum you have here, moving up from a MK4 Golf it certainly is a different kettle of fish tinkering with this one!!!

Thanks  Gareth
