Richarde Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 Hi, I currently have a 2004 Galaxy, It's getting a little long in the tooth now and the list of small annoying faults just keeps getting bigger. So the time has come for an upgrade. The spec's for both cars are very similar. Most of the time the car will be used for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 under 12 year olds). but occasionally the dreaded in-laws will be joining us. The Galaxy I have now will happily take all 6 of us, with a large roof box and a cycle carrier on the tow bar without any problems. Better still, the in-laws are happy to go in the rear most seats (as far away from me as possible). I like the new Galaxy because of the versatility, but it is a big car for just the 4 of us. I like the thought of the slightly smaller S-max as most of the time it is just the four of us. But will it be too limiting when fully laden? Either model will probably be 2.0 diesel and around 2008-2011 Quote
gregers Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 well i have a smax, and the rear most seats are a tight squeeze,i have 3 kids and the youngest (11)goes in the back when i have anyone else in the car with us.i personally wouldnt want to even try to get in them.as for the smax personally i think its looks slightly better then the mk3 and it does drive like a car, without the wallowing you tend to get with mpv's in general.there are members on here who will give you an opinion on the mk3 some bad some good  .
