HI there,

It's time to change engine oil for my Ford Galaxy 1.9 tdi, 2001

I use to change oil for different car's but never changed one for galaxy.

To be honest I cannot find where is the 'cork' which I can unscrew so I can take out the old oil, could someone show me a picture or at least explain where is it ? As far I have found the oil filter is next to the battery ?

Also the brake pads, what brake pads would you suggest to buy ? from ebay or local garage, as I am looking for the cheapest ?

As I don't have ''brake caliper tool' so I can't put the cylinder back, so perhaps the cheapest way would be buy a whole set of brake disc and pads ?

I have found something like this -  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Galaxy-MK2-MPV-Without-Wear-Sensor-Comline-Rear-Brake-Pads-Service-Part-/301098261009?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Cars+Year%3A2001%7CCar+Make%3AFord%7CCars+Type%3A1.9+TDI%7CModel%3AGalaxy&hash=item461adada11 what's your thoughts ?

Regards,

Ed

if you mean the sump plug?then its under the car,and the under tray needs to be removed.

as for the brakes how on earth are you going to fit new pads n disks without the wind back tool anyway?

can be done without but from what i remember reading its  ROYAL PIA.

do a search in the tech section of the forum.

Yes okay you got me, but to be honest I am still beginner in ford brake list. The prices vary depending of the quality. What qualities brake pads would you suggest as I don't want to buy pads every month.
