wayneev Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 HI,Have recently purchased an 02 1.9 ghia .Brill car ,nice to drive.Only issue I have is where do I locate the sevo vac pipe.My brakes pedal went solid the other day.I checked this forum and have done the hard pedal test. All normal. It does happen at low revs.So I want to check the pipe. Also last night after pumping the pedal to check the brake pad light came on .New pads fitted about 2 montns ago.The other issue is that my mate has exactly the same model and year even the same colour! But there are anumber of differnces.Mine only has one aux socket in back,no fitting for a parcel shelf and also a bulge (made to be thereĀ as cloth ed) in the ceiling right at the back above the boot.Any ideas. Thanks all Quote
insanitybeard Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 The servo pipework should be pretty much the same for any 1.9 diesel Galaxy, the servo pipe runs from the vacuum pump which sits on the right hand end of the cylinder head (as you look into the engine bay from the front) to the servo itself (the large round metal unit behind the brake fluid reservoir) which bolts to the engine bay bulkhead on the left hand side (again, viewed from the front). You will need to remove the scuttle at the back of the engine bay to get decent access to the servo though. The pipe itself should be a fairly large bore rigid black nylon tube. Quote
