Radio Flashing Can't Enter Code

help needed please

 

 I own 57 galaxy ghia and the radio keeps flashing  on/off and I can't enter code. I have managed to get 2 numbers in on a few occasions when the touch screen decides to work but not for long enough

I can also only get the heater settings or demister changed by waiting for the screen to flash up a 2nd time and quickly press the demis button and same to turn it off

 

If anyone can help please it would be much appreciated
