Trislander Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 What's the best "cheapest" scanner to buy off eBay which gives the most details on faults?I've got a cheapo red maxiscan but it doesn't pick up any faults and I know there are some on my car. A friend had a great one I used to use which he said was about Quote
chromedome Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 You can download VCDS Lite from Ross Tech for free. Then get an OBD II (I think that's right, check on the forum) lead off e-bay for around Quote
SilverBeast Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Assuming you have a laptop use one of these Make sure you use the drivers supplied with the cable. Download the free VCDS-LITE software from the link in the listing and use that. You can't auto scan on the free version, you need to select the modules individually. Quote
