Russats Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 Hi, I have an X plate 1.9PD TDi Sear Alhambra, there is an oil leak which appears to be coming from the offside of the intercooler, it leaves a small oil patch on the ground after the car has been used. It doesn't appear to be leaking with the engine off. Any ideas? I took off the lower pipe but there is no oil in that pipe. Thanks Quote
traff Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 (edited) the only way there is exess oil in the pipe ....its comming from the turbo.....under normal conditions there will be a small amount of oil in this pipe.....sugest ..wipe clean and run for a couple of days...then look again.......ps...the oil will take its time to pass through the intercooler.....check the high pressure side.ie from turbo to intercooler side....this is where it will show most.......hope it helps......traff Edited January 21, 2014 by traff Quote
