Hi There, another newbie here whose hoping you can help.

I recently had to drain and replace my coolant after replacing a mid section heater hose. I've no more leaks but after checking my coolant levels, it drops to just below min under pressure, then refills once the expansion tank caps release... I'm assuming I've got an air lock. I stood for roughly a 1/2hr pumping the top n bottom radiator hoses after refilling the coolant, is there an easier way of bleeding the system?

My other question is how best to remove the seat belt panel on the driver's side?

This weekend I'm fitting new rear brakes and pads + checking the handbrake assembly, along with replacing the rear shocks... and sorting that dodgy seatbelt and airlock, should be fun ;)

Thanks in advance - Doug

welcome to the forum.

as you can see info on the mk3 is limited,so as a favour to us all if and when you do any jobs,it would be good if you could post up any pics and a walk through of them.

Hi Doug and welcome. Methinks you're in the wrong section. Maybe Gregers can fix it but try going to the top of the list and look in the MKI and MKII FAQs. There's a lot of help in there and once your post is in the right section you might get a bit of a response. I've been through the mill with my earlier Gals but nothing related to your problems. It may be too late now but have a good browse anyway just to get the feel of things. I do miss my old MKI which was probably the best of the bunch  - in my opinion anyway.
