Any help gratefully received on this one guys, the c/control for no good reason will just disengage on my 2.8 manual,and won't re-engage until it's had a half-hr "rest", it's not the clutch/brake/stalk sws, or the hose from the vac pump, I think possibly it may be a speed sensor or control unit over-heatingand cooling down.

My questions are, does the speedo provide the speed input for the c/c; can anyone tell me if the vac pump varies the vacuum to control the throttle servo, or is there another vacuum control valve somewhere driven by an ecu or similar device; other than min speed, set speed, foot pedals and stalk switch - what other inputs influence the c/c?

 

This is driving me crackers!!
