when fitting day time running lights to a ford galaxy should you wire them to the live wire of the 501 bulb at the front side light , as they come on first when you switch on side lights not to the top ones.

Hi Bobby

I am interested in fitting these lights to my Gal (see my earlier post)

Can you let me know how the lights actually fit to the car??

According to the picture i posted they fit under the fog lights, but do you need to drill holes to screw the lights in??

Any photos you have and could be post would also be of interest

Many thanks

you cant put them under the fog lights that's to low, they have to be 250mm or above or you will fail your mot , I fitted them to the lower grill they have to be 600m apart and at least 400m from side of car, they fit in between the gaps in the lower grill they just screw on , you then have to remove one of the lower side lights/fog lights the one nearest the battery is best, unscrew the two screws underneath the lower light then prize of the light very hard there are two clips at the top then remove side light then splice the positive wire with the one for the drl kit it will tell you on your kit which wire, I got a Phillips kit from ebay 64.99  you can get them on amazon too but are dearer no photos yet will get some
