Brummistani Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 (edited) Yesterday I all of a sudden my indicator, horn and climate control console (heating etc) stopped working, aswell as ABS and brake fluid lights have come on to too. Checked brake fluid and it's full. Otherwise it's drives fine and everything else works. Can it be fuses?I have a galaxy mk2 tdi btw Edited November 21, 2013 by Brummistani Quote
acecard Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 First thing to check is the fusebox under the bonnet - just above the washer topup - you may find its in the process of melting, a common fault Quote
Joe Senior Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 Is there a way to reset the electric motor on the 1999 Galaxy Ghia sunroof ? the sun roof will only open in fits and starts and the same when trying to close it it happened when the previous owner took the wiring off the motor because of a leak when it was put back on this is what happened ? any help would be appreciated Quote
Joe Senior Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 Handbrake light on the dash is staying on were is the handbrake switch and how do you replace it ? Quote
cyborg Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 Hi Joe Senior, Welcome to the forums When the handbrake light is on usually means low brake fulid If the abs light is on as well handbrake means you have more than one sensor failed sometimes caused by a mechinal brake disc/pad failure. gregers Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 welcome to the forum joe,is the sunroof 'jerky'?if so then it may be the double worm set up is beginning to strip.have you tried closeing/opening it using the allen key bolt?just to see if it operates smoothly?iirc it is hidden within the casing hiding the motor. SilverBeast Posted December 3, 2013 Report Posted December 3, 2013 The electric windows are "trained" by getting them to the closed position and then holding the switch in the close position for a couple of seconds. You then do the open in the same way I think. You could try doing something similar with your sunroof. If that doesn't work I would be tempted to disconnect the battery (or motor if you don't know the radio code) with the roof fully closed. Quote
