foru2justnv Posted November 20, 2013 Report Posted November 20, 2013 HiI have changed both driveshafts and center shaft. Im getting a gurgling sound and wobble from drivers side when turning left or going uphill. Only does it when accelerator applied and not when free rolling. Could top mounts be something to do with it. The reason why I discounted wheel bearing was because its only when foots on gas. Perfectly fine in straight line. Any help will be much appreciated. 2001 1.9tdi AUTO Quote
chrislloydie Posted November 20, 2013 Report Posted November 20, 2013 Do you still get the gurgling noise if you accelerate gently? Reason I ask is that I get a gurgling noise when I accelerate moderately to hard. The noise comes from osf and there is also a very slight vibration. Ive had the car into a garage who were unable to pin down the cause. Quote
daddyfixit Posted November 20, 2013 Report Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) I have similar noise; comes from in front of driver ? when I am going over 30 mph around left hand corners----especially around traffic islands?? goes as soon as you straighten the wheel but keeping same speed. its been there for years, I did once re-attach air intake pipes under the wing (90bhp tdi 2000 manual) Edited November 20, 2013 by daddyfixit Quote
chrislloydie Posted November 20, 2013 Report Posted November 20, 2013 Forgot to say, I also changed the offside driveshaft a while sgo due to split cv boots. Cant remember if the gurgling noise started after fitting the driveshaft or if it was there before. Quote

foru2justnv Posted November 21, 2013 Author Report Posted November 21, 2013 Yes its still there with speed but less noticable due to road noise. You would think driveshaft. The whole osf wobbles under 20mph more noticeable when going left or up a hill. I am thinking poss engine mount as a few times when I switch engine off it feels as though there is a bit of movement.
