chromedome Posted December 28, 2013 Author Report Posted December 28, 2013 More on this one. Front bearing in the alternator had gone, apparently caused by the new pulley being over tightened. I do remember the independent saying he used the same air tool used on car wheels to fit it. New Bosch 120 amp, same as fitted, alternator fitted and because the alternator and pulley are the correct ratio the tensioner now sits in the correct position. What a saga this has been and I hope someone gets some help from it. Thanks again for all the replies. Happy New Year to all. Quote
