Multimedia Conversion - Ford 6000/6 Or 7000?

In my final jigsaw to complete the dvd multimedia fit can anyone give best advice on head unit. The 6000 and 6006 are quoted in the Galaxy brochure. What about the 5000 or 7000 units with cassette deck and seperate 6 stack CD player. Is the amp critical in the 7000? Any advise or recommendations would be welcome. Personally I would like to have multimedia connection, radio, & mp3 or CD stack in boot compartment.
