:( Hi,

Following on from an earlier question on this subject, my 1996 Aspen has dual air bags and the warning light is always on. Is the ' clock spring' easy to check and get access to ? Also does anyone know is this would result in an MOT failure ?

Many thanks,

Leigh

Its a steering wheel off job to change the clockspring, get yourself a copy of the TIS or a Haynes manual, both cover its replacement

...and I'm almost certain that it will be an MOT fail if the warning light is on.

currently there are no rules regading the air bag light and mot's but that could all change although it is a safety thing much as abs but abs light on fails mot but not airbag how strange
