ktuggers3005 Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 Hi all My drivers seat is jammed fully back and cannot be moved forwards. It is a captains chair and swivels as it should.I think I need to remove the seat and the base but cannot get to the rear fixings as it is jammed.Does anyone know the way around this.Any help much appreciated.KT Quote

cyborg Posted October 20, 2013 Report Posted October 20, 2013 As acecard says, However if your still stuck It is possible to drill mounting bolts from under neath. when you drill them out have the drill on a slow setting and shapern the drill bit like a pencil . Quote
ktuggers3005 Posted October 20, 2013 Author Report Posted October 20, 2013 Thanks There is definitely something jammed in the runner, so will have to drill the back bolts out. Another site also says to disconnect car battery to disable air bags, when removing seats !! Quote

gusgreen Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 (edited) Just freed mine - there was a pen in the runner nearest the gear lever that was stopping the mechanism working. Use my son's laser pen to see it then used a skewer to push it out from the front. Hope that helps. Edited November 2, 2013 by gusgreen Quote
