markie Posted July 4, 2004 Report Posted July 4, 2004 Got a 2003 Alhambra SE and am looking to put a CD Changer in, but cannot find the CD changer wire. From reading other members comments, I have looked in the compartment where the jack, etc. is, took the storage bin out of there also, but no CD changer wire anywhere to be seen. Also, looked at the back of the glove compartment, but nothing there too. Anyone know where it is, or is it there at all on the Alhambra? Thanks.. Quote
Guest nimrod Posted July 4, 2004 Report Posted July 4, 2004 If its fitted it will be tucked up no top on the rear wheel arch under the storage bin where the CD multi changer is normally fitted, people have said that its taped into the loom and needed cutting loose to use it! if its not most good car audio shops will sell you a multi changer with a lead that will fit the head unit http://www.add-a-cdchanger.co.uk/ Quote
markie Posted July 4, 2004 Author Report Posted July 4, 2004 Cheers Nimrod, I'll have another look to make sure I did not overlook the obvious, particularly in the wiring loom, but i'm nearly certain it's not there... Quote
Guest nimrod Posted July 4, 2004 Report Posted July 4, 2004 IIRC someone found the lead tucked right down the front of the wheel arch near the rear door! as you say worth another look just to make sure :( Quote
gazza007 Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 If you've got a PC, get an MP3 player much easier & more fun Quote
markie Posted July 5, 2004 Author Report Posted July 5, 2004 Had another thorough look, but it's not there. Found an interesting small black bag full of foam shoved down the inside of the wheel arch (to reduce road noise?), but that's all ! Not to worry, I'm not that much fussed either way ! Thanks Nimrod and Gazza for your help.. Quote
