bocp Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 Warning: I don't know much about cars, just trying to find some leads and clues for my mechanic.. I just got my '07 MkIII 2.0TDCi man 140 with 220'km on it back from the shop for the second time today, with remaining fault.. I brought the car in after wanting to sell it, where they said the turbo was whistleing and needed replacement.Sure enough, the following week the noise went ballistic, and I got the powerloss. Still driveable with some power left, just took very long to get it. So I took it in for new turbo and EGR cleanup. When I got it back, noise was gone, but the powerloss was still there, with engine fault light still on.Also got a ENGINE FAILURE message in dash a couple times, which I had never seen before.. After another trip to the shop, checking possible faults and resetting computer, the powerloss is still there, at times even worse.. Tried to look through this forum for previous entries, but, alas, I cannot get my head around most of these technical terms..BTW, best forum I found here, so I am hopeful! - I might also mention the strange and dangerous issue I have with the front wheels sometimes braking up irratically in curves, like ABS going amok on one wheel. On slippery roads, this might throw me off the road! ABS sensors and connections are checked. Any similar experiences? Quote
