When you turn the ignition on everything that post light up, lights up. but when you turn the ignition off get out of the car and lock the door.the display that shows the cars mileage on the speedo never goes off. i had the car for a week now and the display is on all the time even when car is locked. Is it a fault with the car or do the display on the speedo stay on all the time? chromedome Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 A bit of advice based on my experience. You said you had the Ghia variant so therefore you must have climate control. If it's working leave it AUTO all year round. This prevents seals drying out amongst other things. I have not noticed any real problem with fuel consumption, I still get nearly 40mpg on average. It has been proven that driving above 30mph with the windows open uses more fuel than having the air conditioning on. Hope this helps and welcome to the forum. Quote

snowytop Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 Just a quick thought lads, but if the climate control packs up can you still use the fan to demist the screen in winter, or is it back to the days of using a rag? We've only got the basic heater controls in ours, never used cc so not really sure how it works. Quote
