Argrdnr Posted July 31, 2013 Report Posted July 31, 2013 Alternator drive belt has sort of snapped, luckily I was only doing about 5-10mph coming out of a junction.Ordered a new one and replacing tomorrow. How easy a job is it? What needs to be removed? Thanks Quote
Argrdnr Posted July 31, 2013 Author Report Posted July 31, 2013 I have to add as I'm typing this I'm currently sitting in the car while its being towed as I have 5 kids and the gf in the recovery truck IT'S VERY BOUNCY Quote
gazmech Posted July 31, 2013 Report Posted July 31, 2013 Nothing needs to be removed just slacken off the alternator and fit New belt. Once fitted make sure u tighten all bolts up. Quote
Argrdnr Posted July 31, 2013 Author Report Posted July 31, 2013 Ah so fairly easy. Phew Thought I'd do it myself as learning experience and to save on garage fees. Quote
gazmech Posted July 31, 2013 Report Posted July 31, 2013 It should take no longer than 10 mins to do Quote
Argrdnr Posted August 2, 2013 Author Report Posted August 2, 2013 All sorted, removed undertray and fitted new belt, omg the tensioner is not easy to move, takes a lot of strength Quote
