Galaxy newbie Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 Hi, anyone on here know where I can get the brushes for the run on pump, I'm sure I read a post about someone on here that sells them but I can't find the post! Thanks. Andy Quote
Barlidge Posted June 23, 2013 Report Posted June 23, 2013 +1 for a link to the brushes pls if somebody has it. Ty Quote
BigDog Posted June 24, 2013 Report Posted June 24, 2013 From my experience it takes less time to make some to fit by filing down easily available slightly larger ones, compared to spending ages online in a possibly fruitless attempt to find ones that are just right. Check the FAQ for how to do it. Mines been running fine now for 6m after doing the job. Matt Quote

xavier Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 I used these (still working 6 months later). I had to trim the length, but otherwise were a perfect fit. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Power-Replacement-Carbon-Motor-Brushes/dp/B008P7NFTI/ref=cm_rdp_product You could also try these, a bit longer. http://www.amazon.co.uk/13mm-Motor-Carbon-Brushes-Power/dp/B008IEVWBQ Quote
Pemo Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 I changed the pump into a brushless pump from BOSCH. Works nicely. http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php/topic/23824-front-heater-no-good-rear-heater-ok/?hl=%2Bbosch+%2Bpump&do=findComment&comment=170750Peter Quote
Kev_B Posted July 11, 2013 Report Posted July 11, 2013 These are the correct size, no cutting or grinding needed..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141010935373?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 ;) Quote
xavier Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 Well the ones I got were 10x5x5 and needed trimmed to fit. I'd imagine the ebay ones would be the same unless they're connected to the side rather than end as shown in pic. Quote
bigdave982 Posted July 17, 2013 Report Posted July 17, 2013 Mine are cheaper lol and making em fit is all part of the fun :-):-) Quote
xavier Posted July 17, 2013 Report Posted July 17, 2013 Don't think they are Dave, 4 for 202pence including postage. However I couldn't find side entry brushes to fit and I reckon the extra length on the brush you'd get with side entry would be worth a year or two. Quote
